Cookie Policy

Last updated: 4 August 2026

eMorer uses a cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember your language. If you accept, it also uses Google Analytics to count visits to these public pages. Nothing here is used for advertising, and nothing tracks you across other websites.

The cookies we set

PHPSESSID — keeps you signed in while you use the site. It is created when you open eMorer, holds no personal information itself, and is deleted when you close your browser. Without it you could not log in, so it is strictly necessary and is not subject to consent.

emorer_lang — remembers whether you chose English or Español, so the site opens in your language next time. It is written only when you click the language switcher, stores nothing but the three letters "eng" or "spa", and lasts five years.

emorer_cookie_choice — records the choice you made in the cookie banner, so you are not asked again. It stores only "accept" or "reject" and lasts one year. Remembering a refusal is the only way to honour it, so this one is set either way.

What happens if you decline

If you decline, eMorer does not store your language preference between visits. The site still works, and you can still switch language at any time — it simply starts each visit in the language your browser asks for, rather than the one you last chose. The sign-in cookie is unaffected, because the site cannot log you in without it.

Changing your mind

Use the "Cookie preferences" link at the foot of any public page. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; eMorer will simply ask again on your next visit.

Other requests your browser makes

Our pages load their typeface from Google Fonts. That request reaches Google and, like any web request, carries your IP address. Google Fonts sets no cookies. We mention it because it is the only third party your browser contacts while using eMorer.

Analytics — only if you accept

If you accept, eMorer loads Google Analytics, which sets _ga and _gid. They hold a random identifier — not your name, not your email — and let us count visits and see which pages people arrive on. _ga lasts two years, _gid one day.

If you decline, Google is never contacted: the script is not loaded, no request leaves your browser, and no analytics cookie is created. Declining limits nothing else on the site.

Analytics runs on the public pages only — sign in, sign up, password reset and these policies. Nothing inside your account is measured: not your reminders, your to-dos, your notes or your goals.
