Privacy Policy
eMorer is a personal organiser: reminders, a to-do list, notes and annual goals. This page explains what it stores, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we store
Your account — first name, surname, email address, your password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in readable form), the country you pick so dates show in your time zone, and your language.
Your settings — how many days ahead you want to be reminded, whether the daily digest email is on, your date format, and any API tokens you create.
What you write — your reminders, to-do items and lists, notes and folders, and annual goals. This is your content. We do not read it, mine it or share it.
Messages you send us — if you use "Send us feedback", we receive what you wrote along with your email address so we can reply.
Why we store it
To run the service you asked for: to sign you in, to show your reminders at the right time in the right time zone, and to send the emails the service depends on — your verification code, a password reset when you request one, and the daily digest if you switch it on. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.
We rely on the agreement between us to provide the service itself — without your email and your content there is nothing to run — and on your consent for anything optional: the daily digest, and analytics on our public pages. You can withdraw either consent at any time without losing the rest of the service.
Who else can see it
eMorer runs on servers provided by Hostinger, which also delivers our email. They process data on our behalf and under contract. Our pages load their typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request but sets no cookies. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics also measures visits to our public pages — never anything inside your account. Beyond those, nobody: no advertising network and no third-party embed anywhere in the app.
Your rights
You can do the two big ones yourself, straight away: Settings › Your data has a button to download everything you have stored here, and one to delete your account and all of its content immediately and permanently. Nothing is queued for review and nobody has to approve it.
You can also change your email, password, language, time zone and digest setting yourself at any time in Settings, and every digest email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
For anything else — a correction, a question, or help with a request — write to info@emorer.com from the address on your account. We answer within 30 days, and sooner where the law that applies to you requires it: under Peruvian law an access request is answered within 20 business days, and other requests within 10.
If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales, part of Peru’s Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may instead complain to the data protection authority where you live.
How long we keep it
Your account and content stay for as long as your account exists. Deleted reminders, to-dos and notes are hidden immediately and removed from the database afterwards.
If you ask us to delete your account, we remove it from the service straight away. Nothing from it is kept for longer than one year — that limit includes any copies still held in backups, which are overwritten as those backups rotate. After a year there is nothing left to recover, by us or by anyone else.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as hashes, never in readable form. The sign-in cookie is marked Secure and HttpOnly, so it travels only over an encrypted connection and cannot be read by scripts. Verification codes and password-reset links expire.
Children
eMorer is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and by signing up you confirm that you are.
We chose one age rather than the lowest each country allows, so the answer is the same wherever you are. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we will delete it and everything in it.
Cookies
Two cookies keep you signed in and remember your language, plus one that records your choice in the cookie banner. The Cookie Policy explains each one and what declining changes.
Analytics
If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits to our public pages and see where people arrive from. Google processes that on our behalf. Google’s advertising signals and ad personalisation are switched off, so the data is not used to build advertising profiles. Nothing inside your account is measured, and if you decline, Google is not contacted at all.
Contact
eMorer is the data controller for the information described in this document, and is operated from the district of Miraflores, Lima, Peru.
Questions about this document, or a request about your data — a copy of it, a correction, or deletion of your account — can be sent to info@emorer.com. That mailbox is monitored and is the fastest way to reach a person. If you would prefer to write to us by post, ask by email and we will give you a postal address for your request.
